Give Through the Marching 100 Alumni Band Association!

Our organization is ALWAYS working to support the FAMU Bands and its students. Since 2000, we have been ardent supporters, and look to continue giving through the help of everyone who visits this page. From book vouchers to academic scholarships to assistance with educational conferences such as the Midwest Conference, our sole purpose is to support the FAMU Bands in any way possible, so when you feel like donating to a worthy cause, stop on by and help us support the band that continues to be the beacon of Florida A&M University!

As we are a 501(c)(3) organization, all of your donations are tax deductible.


Dr. William P. Foster "Separate Entity" Scholarship
The highest scholarship award given by the Association, this annual scholarship is given to the upperclassman who most closely exemplifies the FAMU Band's motto.

10 on the 10th Fundraiser

“10 on the 10th” is a way for you to give back without causing a lot of strain on your wallets. Each month on the 10th, we are asking that you come to this page and donate $10 to the Association. The funds will go towards support of the FAMU Bands and its students. We can raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year with your support.

Q: How can you give through this program?
A:

  • Through Paypal – Give to us on a monthly basis (or as the mood hits you), or have $10 deducted from your account every month.
  • Your banking institution – As you pay your bills every month, take a minute to set up a “bill” with the Association. Use the Account “10on10th” as the account number to make sure it gets applied to the correct account. Make your check payable to: Marching 100 Alumni Band Association PO Box 7133 Tallahassee, FL  32314-7133. We will send your tax-deductible receipt by the end of January of each year.
  • Check/money order – Feel free to write us a check or money order if you feel more comfortable doing so. We will send your tax-deductible receipt by the end of January of each year.

Q: Do I have to give every month, or can I just give you the whole $120 for a year?
A: Whatever works for you. The students are most important, and giving to them to help their educational experience at FAMU is what’s most important!

One time donation: $120 for a year
Recurring payment donation: $10 per month
 

CMENC Donation

The Collegiate Music Educators National Conference students at FAMU make an annual trip to the Midwest Band Conference to Chicago each year in December. The cost of the trip (including registration) ranges between $13-15,000. Giving to help our students attend this conference helps them to expand their network, and gives them the encouragement and guidance to help them become better musicians and band directors who will send their students back to their alma mater.

Deadline for this year’s conference is December 1, 2010.


Band Camp Donation

Each year in the spring, we start our application process for awarding high school musicians scholarships to attend the band camp. Their being at the band camp, held in the summer each year, helps us to recruit them to become Rattlers and strengthen not only the band, but the University, as well! Your donations go towards helping us fund scholarships for them.


Education Fund Donation

We are always giving scholarships to our students here at FAMU. From the William P. Foster “Separate Entity” Scholarship to our book vouchers, we try to reach as many students as we can. With the efforts of everyone giving, we can help them finish their education sooner, strengthening our position of having high-caliber graduates throughout the nation! While we give approximately 35 book vouchers and scholarships each year, with your help, we can give MUCH MORE!


General Fund Donation

This fund is one we use for continuing the operations of the Association. From sponsoring tailgates to hosting receptions for our graduates, we are able to reach even more people through donations from you.

Whether giving to a specific cause, or giving in general, know that we are giving to make the future of FAMU and the FAMU Bands a brighter one!
