Describe a time when you demonstrated leadership within your band or musical community, whether through a formal position or by stepping up in an informal way. What challenges did you face, and how did your actions impact those around you?

Many musicians face obstacles on their journey, whether personal, academic, or musical. Share a challenge you have encountered in your band experience and how you overcame it. What did you learn from this experience, and how will it influence your participation in summer band camp?

Additional Marching 100 Alumni Band Association Camp Scholarship Information:
  • Please be advised of the following: This scholarship is competitive, and applying does not guarantee a Band Camp scholarship to the FAMU Marching 100 Summer Band Camp. 
  • The Charles S. Bing and the Dr. Julian E. White scholarships are for graduating high school seniors only (Class of 2026). 
  • If you were not chosen for the Charles S. Bing nor Julian E. White scholarships, you will still be eligible for any of the General scholarships.
  • Scholarship recipients will be responsible for all travel accommodations to & from the Florida A&M University Band Camp.
  • The above information will be used for scholarship award purposes with the Marching 100 Alumni Band Association only, and will not be disclosed to others.
  • It is mandatory to apply and be accepted to the Florida A&M University Band Camp in order to receive the scholarship.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.

Winners will be notified on or before May 8, 2026.
